Let’s-elementor

The world will always tell you to choose A.
They’ll say you can’t eat that.
They’ll say you can’t say that.
They’ll say you can’t write that.
They’ll say you can’t wear that.
They’ll say you can’t love that.
They’ll say you can’t want that.
They’ll say you can’t be that.

They may be loud.
They may be insistent.
They may be angry.

And still, it is your job to turn away, to turn in, to listen for that small, sure voice inside of you.

You may hear:

You should eat that.
You should say that.
You should write that.
You should wear that.
You should love that.
You should want that.
You should be that.

But that’s not your true voice.
Your true voice never says “should.”
Your true voice says “let’s.”

Let’s stay.
Let’s leave.
Let’s rest.
Let’s move.
Let’s eat.
Let’s speak.
Let’s listen.
Let’s try.
Let’s learn.
Let’s cry.
Let’s rejoice.

Ignore the can’t.
Ignore the should.
Listen for the let’s.
